Leo Paul Dahlman

Leo Paul Dahlman, 78, Mount Vernon, Mo., passed away at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2007, in the Lawrence County Manor. Leo was born on December 12, 1928, in Lawrence County, to Arthur and Reathel (Johnson) Dahlman. Leo attended Takein Elementary School and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1947. He lived in Springfield for the past 33 years, where he was a member and deacon of the South Haven Baptist Church. While attending the School for the Blind in Little Rock, Arkansas, he met Robbie Jean Gray and they were united in marriage on February 16, 1964, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife, Robbie Jean; his brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Kathryn Dahlman; three nieces, Penny Dahlman, Rita Moriondo, and husband, Larry, and Nancy Bushman, and husband, Dick; four great-nieces and four great-nephews, all of Mount Vernon, Mo. Graveside services, under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, in the Maple Park Cemetery, Springfield, with Rev. Hubert Conway officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening, March 8, in the funeral home chapel.
